Nintendo DS Dragon Ball Game Includes Emulated Dragon Ball Game

Dragon Ball DS 2 Assault! Red Ribbon Army is truly a throwback to the 80’s with young Goku as the star and a Famicom game as a bonus.

Namco Bandai hid Dragon Ball: Shen Long’s Mystery, better known as Dragon Power in North America, as a extra. When Bandai released Dragon Power here it was heavily localized and all references to the anime series were dropped. Instead of Goku, a generic looking “Karate Kid” was the star and he went on a journey to collect crystal balls.

 

Namco Bandai Games America hasn’t announced Dragon Ball DS 2 yet. Since it’s a Dragon Ball game chances are it will come over, but will the North American version include Dragon Power, a faithful translation of the Famicom game or will they cut the ROM out?
