Pop ‘n Music Portable has three play modes: five button, seven button, and nine buttons for Pop ‘n Masters. The nine button configuration uses almost all of the PSP’s buttons by assigning yellow notes to L/R and the outermost keys to left on the D-pad / circle button. Looks… finger cramping.
In the board game style adventure mode you start with five buttons and advance into nine button mode. New songs can be unlocked here and whenever you clear a song you can listen to it in music player mode. Over 80 songs are in Pop ‘n Music Portable including Bluebird, Together 4ever, Ankoku Psychedelic, Karma, Tsubame, and the opening song for Evangelion, Cruel Angel’s
Pop ‘n Music is scheduled for release on February 4 and will be a bunny hop less than the average PSP game at 4,800 yen ($53).
