Shiren Goes Super Saiyan In Shiren the Wanderer 4

Shiren has a new moves in Shiren the Wanderer 4 and one of them lets him shoot a powerful pink energy blast. Adding a skill system is one of the changes Chunsoft made to the series.

The others? Well, there’s this character called Banana Prince that follows Shiren around. Perhaps, he (it?) is the reason why Shiren doesn’t eat riceballs anymore. Bananas satiate him in Shiren the Wanderer 4.

Dungeons also have doors which can protect Shiren. In the screenshots below, Shiren stepped over a door that the monsters can’t pass through. Shiren can still attack through the gate so he has the upper hand. It’s the Diablo stand in the door trick all over again.

Shiren the Wanderer 4 is scheduled to come out in Japan this winter. No news about a US release, but Atlus is working on Shiren the Wanderer 3 and have a good relationship with Spike, the game’s publisher in Japan.
