Shadow of the Ninja And Other Natsume Classics Could Come To Virtual Console

Seeing Super Mario Bros. for the tenth time is nice, but I’d rather see obscure, hard to find, games on Virtual Console. Before Natsume became synonymous with Harvest Moon they released all kinds of games. RPGs, steampunk shooters, and even ninja titles.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 whetted my appetite for a two player ninja game so I asked Natsume if we would ever see Shadow of Ninja available as a Virtual Console download.

 

“Funny thing…you’re the fourth person to ask this question in the span of a week. We recently had a meeting with Nintendo and one of the things we discussed was getting some more of our classic NES and SNES games out on Virtual Console,” Graham Markay, Vice President of Operations at Natsume, said to Siliconera.

 

Shadow of the Ninja is definitely high up on the list of titles that we’d like to release. I’ll be sure to keep you updated on that one.”

 

SNES games too? Natsume was responsible for some of the Lufia titles back then and Pocky & Rocky. I wonder how far Natsume will dig into their library. Will we see S.C.A.T.? Shatterhand? Not sure what any of these are? Then read this.
