After a shipwreck, Shiren and his trusty talking weasel, Koppa, find themselves in another pickle. The islanders think they’re monsters and tie them to a stake. Kamina, the game’s heroine, attempts to saves them from a fiery fate, but puts herself in danger. A jaguar priest ties her up and sends Shiren out to procure the Jaguar’s Eye to prove he’s not a demon.
That’s where dungeon crawling comes in.
Dungeons in Shiren the Wanderer 4 have a day/night system and traps in narrow hallways in between rooms. Yikes!
Fortunately, Shiren has a new set of tricks that give him new abilities like attacking multiple enemies at once.
Spike, not Sega, will publish Shiren the Wanderer 4 in Japan this winter. Lately, Spike has been dealing with Atlus who is also localizing Shiren the Wanderer 3. Perhaps, we’ll see Shiren the Wanderer 4 in the States under a different name?
