No, this isn’t another RPG where you save the world from an insecure villain. In It’s New Frontier players help a group of pioneers tap resources from the wild.
Claus, who dresses like a white mage, orders his pals that look like other Final Fantasy staples to gather water and food. The goal of the game is to build a settlement by managing limited resources.
While you only have a small group of frontiersmen men, all of them have magical abilities. Claus can activate Holy Light to collect double the amount of water and Penela can trigger Forest Dance to harvest twice the amount of wood.
Akitoshi Kawazu, creator of SaGa aka Final Fantasy Legend, played a key role in the development of It’s New Frontier. Currently the 525 yen ($5.50) game is only available on cell phones in Japan.
