Metal Gear Solid, Resident Evil Sneaking On PlayStation Classics

The domestic line up of downloadable PsOne games is thin, but it appears that Sony will fill up the store with heavy hitters like Metal Gear Solid and Resident Evil: Director’s Cut.

Both of these games were re-rated by the ESRB as PlayStation 3 and PSP games with Sony Computer Entertainment as the publisher — a good sign that these will be re-released on the PlayStation Store. Spec Ops: Cover Assault, Spec Ops: Ranger Elite, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six also got the same treatment.

 

So, when will we get these games? The last time we dug up re-rated PsOne games they showed up in the PlayStation Store the same day. However, other games like Suikoden and Castlevania: Chronicles didn’t appear for months.
