A new Adventure Island game is being made for WiiWare. Takahashi Meijin’s Adventure Island has a jungle stage, beach stage, and… a 16 Shot mini-game? Test your button mashing, skateboarding, and light gun skills against others when you’re not scouting the island for fruit.
Special gold melon items act as in game currency. Trade them for tools at the item shop to power up Master Higgins. Over the last twenty years Higgins learned some new moves to keep up with modern platforming heroes. Now he can cliff hang and double jump. Will he have friendly dinosaur helpers too? Japanese Wii owners can find out in April if they purchase Takahashi Meijin’s Adventure Island for 1,000 Wii Points ($10). Hudson hasn’t said anything about an international release, but this isn’t the kind of game they will pass over.
