Yuusha 30 aka Hero For 30sec internationally is a combination of four short games with awesome looking blocky heroes. While there are four quests and four different styles of play one mode looks bigger than the others.
The goal in Hero Mode is to slay the Demon King, but before you can do that you need to level up, buy weapons, fight monsters, and move on an overworld map with the help of a noble steed or dragon while a clock in the middle of the screen is counting down. Hero Mode is split up into missions and since your clear time is saved you can probably replay them. Marvelous hasn’t gone into great details for the other three modes, but they don’t appear to have as many goals as Hero Mode.
Hero Mode: Build up the hero and slay the demon king.
Princess Mode: Soldiers carry the princess and blast enemies with arrows. You have 30 seconds to complete a task. Sounds like Princess mode is going to be a fast fetch quest.
Knight and Wizard Mode: Exterminate all the monsters in 30 seconds. The wizard can cast spells, but he’s vulnerable so the knight has to protect him.
Devil King Mode: Get rid of all the heroes by summoning monsters for 30 seconds.
Those are four of the modes in Hero For 30sec. The “fifth” hasn’t been technically announced, but Hero For 30sec has a multiplayer mode. Marvelous’ product page explains the game will support 1-4 players and cost 4,410 yen ($48) before tax when it comes out in Japan this May.
