Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm is easy on the eyes. CyberConnect2 did a fantastic job translating the look of the anime series into a PlayStation 3 game. What was their secret? Partially, the number of polygons used to make the character.
Take Naruto as an example. In the PlayStation 2 Naruto games his entire model was made out of 3,723 polygons. In Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm it takes 16,927 polygons to recreate the hyperactive ninja. Naruto’s head in Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm alone is made of more polygons than entire Naruto model from CyberConnect2’s PS2 games.
