Pikmin and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Wii-makes are slated to come out in Japan this December. In 2009 Nintendo plans to release five more games in the Play On Wii series. Chibi Robo, Pikmin 2, Mario Power Tennis, Metroid Prime, and Metroid Prime 2 Echoes. The two Metroid Prime games should be fine if they utilize the controls from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Mario Power Tennis will probably borrow controls from Wii Sports Tennis.
Chibi Robo doesn’t have any game to borrow controls from. Nintendo could simply use the Gamecube with the analog stick to move Chibi Robo, but there is a room for additional layer of immersion if Nintendo lets players control Chibi Robo like a remote controlled toy. That would be awesome, but I won’t get my hopes up for anything like that. The first trailers for Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and Pikmin aren’t pushing new features.
