Okami, Odin Sphere, and Disgaea joining PS2 Greatest Hits?

This article is over 16 years old and may contain outdated information

After so many reprints of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness I’m surprised it isn’t already Greatest Hits game.  In September it probably will be. Play-Asia has a product listing for Disgaea: Hour of Darkness as part of Sony’s wallet friendly Greatest Hits lineup. They even have some official looking box art to go with the rumor. If this is correct Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Odin Sphere, two games published by Atlus, will drop down in price to $20. I haven’t seen new copies of Odin Sphere for awhile so this could be a good opportunity for people to give the gorgeous game a chance.

Play-Asia also lists Okami and Maximo vs. The Army of Zin as Greatest Hits games and both are scheduled to come out this month. I’m glad to see Okami get a third chance in the marketplace, but a $20 PlayStation 2 re-release could cannibalize sales of the Wii remake. And Capcom’s sales data shows it hasn’t been performing particularly well in the West either.

Update: It's official news from Atlus who confirmed Disgaea: Hour of Darkness and Odin Sphere as Greatest Hits game this September as mentioned here.
