North America will get a taste of an RPG board game blend in October when Atlus releases Dokapon Kingdom. However, Dokapon Kingdom won’t dominate the niche in Japan. Compile Heart has Sugoro Chronicle: Migite ni Ken wo Hidarite ni Saikoro wo (Sugoro Chronicle: Sword in the Left Hand, Dice in the Right) scheduled to come out on September 25, two months after Sting releases Dokapon Kingdom for Wii in Japan. The goal in Sugoro Chronicle is to amass a fortune rather than conquering monsters. You also, as the title explains, roll dice instead of using a spinner. A better description is a concoction of Dokapon Kingdom and Itadaki Street.
Sugoro Chronicle sounds like a game you want to play with friends, it supports up to four of them. When nobody is around you can test out the 100 different jobs and tweak you strategy. No announcements have made if Compile Heart will release this internationally, but it’s possible. Nearly every Wii game, even international shovelware, is seeing a release in North America. If the Wii flood continues someone will pick up Sugoro Chronicle.
