If you’ve been keeping up with world news you may have heard of the Sichuan earthquake, which devastated a region of China last week. Individuals and corporations throughout Asia have been pitching in with donations including Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong. The branch put together auctions on eBay Hong Kong (which appear to be their first) for autographed PlayStation Network cards and other merchandise. All proceeds go to World Vision Hong Kong.
Here are the items available:
PLAYSTATION®Network prepaid card ($200) signed by model Angelababy
PLAYSTATION®Network prepaid card ($200) signed by singer Chelsea Tong
PLAYSTATION®Network prepaid card ($200) signed by actress Niki Chou
The denominations are in Hong Kong dollars. So, you're essentially spending $20 USD for PlayStation Network credit and a signed Gran Turismo 5: Prologue card since there are no bidders yet. Also there are multiple signed items. Four Gran Turismo 5: Prologue cards, five LocoRoco umbrella bundles and five Tekken packages. Unfortunately, you need to physically be in Hong Kong to claim any of the items which rules out international participants. Still, it’s pretty amazing to see Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong gather these items so quickly.
I wonder if Sony Computer Entertainment Hong Kong was saving all of these signed PlayStation Network cards for a rainy day…
