At the tail end of Nintendo’s financial statement is a glimpse of Nintendo’s plan for 2008. Most of the titles like Disaster: Day of Crisis, Wii Music and Animal Crossing were either revealed or hinted at in the past. However, the list indicates 2008 is the year of Kirby, at least in Japan. Two Kirby games are slated to come out, Hoshi no Kirby Ultra Super Deluxe for the Nintendo DS and Kirby game for the Wii.
The other anomaly on the list is DS Novel, which only appears on Europe’s list for 2008. I’m guessing here, but DS Novel sounds like it will be an English version DS Bungaku Zenshuu. Touch Generations titles like Brain Age (better known as Dr Kawashima's Brain Training) have been so successful in Europe Nintendo released English Training: Have Fun Improving Your Skills and picked up the rights to a Shogakukan math drilling game specifically for Europe. While it’s understandable why Nintendo of America glossed over English Training hopefully they will consider releasing DS Novel in North America.
