Yester/today (time difference?) Wii Fit landed on store shelves in Japan. I think I mentioned this before, but the timing is a little unusual, most games are released on Thursdays.

While I was in Shinjuku I discovered Bic Camera was holding a mini event for Wii Fit. They cleared out space for a single playable demo. Everyone who played the game had to take off their shoes and the friendly staff put a sanitary cover over the balance board. I skipped the demo since the wait was twenty minutes, but I caught a glimpse of a few more mini games. I saw a tightrope walking game and a jogging simulator.

Ignore the mock Wii Fit boxes for a second and hone your eyes to the message on the right. One per person, no reselling. Below are pictures of the demo station. Notice how their is a mock hardwood floor? It's there to simulate the feel of being in a living room.

I thought I took a picture of the Wii Fit box too, but I missed it. The packaging looks like a briefcase. Actually, it could double as a briefcase once the goods are taken out.
