Discover Treasure Hunter G and Pokemon Snap on the virtual console

This article is over 16 years old and may contain outdated information

Next month few virtual console games are being released in Japan. However, the short list tips the scales towards quality over quantity. Japan gets Super Mario Brothers 3 sometime in December. Sure, this is old news for North America, but Raccoon Mario is new for Japan’s virtual console store. Nintendo is also releasing Metal Slader Glory, an old adventure game from HAL Laboratories with a clever combat system. While I would encourage people to pick it up, Nintendo probably has plans to release Metal Slader Glory Director’s Cut in the future. I’m holding out for better graphics and the extra story sequences.

The highlight of the month has to be Treasure Hunter G. Square released Treasure Hunter G at the end of the console’s life so the game never left Japan. It has a rather unique battle system, pre-rendered graphics and a light hearted plot. Treasure Hunter G is definitely worthy of 800 Wii Points.
