Here’s what everyone is waiting for the price and launch date of the Wii:
Japan: December 2 / 25,000 yen ($213)
North America / South America: November 19th / $250 (From New York Times leak)
As it was rumored the Wii will be bundled with Wii Sports, a sports game package with Tennis, Baseball and Bowling. Wii Sports was shown at E3 and gives console owners a good idea of how the Wiimote works.
Virtual Console titles will be priced according to the system.
NES / Famicom titles cost – 500 yen ($4)
Super NES / Super Famicom titles cost – 800 yen ($7)
Nintendo 64 – 1,000 yen ($8.50)
We’re guessing that a similar price structure will be around for North America where NES games will cost $5, Super NES will cost $7.50, Nintendo 64 $10.
Update 1:
The launch in Japan will have sixteen different titles from ten companies. Wii games will cost between 4,800 yen ($40) – 6,800 yen ($57). The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess will be a launch title and sold for 6,800 yen.
