Web Browser and TV tuner coming for the DS

At Nintendo’s conference in Japan they unveiled two key features for the Nintendo DS. The first has been widely predicted, a web browser based on Opera. The browser is designed to take advantage of the DS’ Wifi connectivity and the touch screen for character input. Instead of being a firmware update like the PSP browser, it will be sold a separate piece of software. A price has not been announced, but Nintendo plans to release the browser software in June. The TV tuner can be plugged into the DS’ card slot. This is a better design than the previously announced bulky TV Tuner. Note that the TV Tuner will only work in Japan. A TV tuner for the USA has not been announced yet.
